Meijer Recalls Store Brand Caramel Corn Due To Mislabeled Milk Allergen

DETROIT (WWJ) -- Meijer issued a recall for its store brand caramel corn on Saturday.

The grocery chain says 62,000 units of the snack fail to list the milk allergen on the label, which means people who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk may run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if consumed.

Product expiration dates included in the recall are the following:

8/23/15, 10/10/15, 10/28/15, 11/19/15, 11/21/15, 11/27/15, 12/5/15, 12/12/15, 12/25/15, 12/30/15, 1/25/16, 2/29/16, 3/18/16, 3/19/16, 3/28/16.

Date codes can be found in black ink printed on the front top right of the package.

There have been no injuries or illnesses reported. Customers who purchased the recalled product should return it to the point of purchase for a full refund.
