McDonald's Evacuated Due To Suspicious Bag On Detroit's West Side

DETROIT (WWJ) -- Precautionary measures were taken to evacuate a fast food restaurant on Detroit's Westside on Saturday.

Detroit Police say a backpack near the McDonald's at Grand River and Schaefer looked suspicious. Patrons and employees were evacuated while the scene was investigated by Bomb Squad techs.

Police tell WWJ there was no threat to anyone inside or outside the restaurant.
