Man Who Thought He Was At Relative's Detroit Home Robbed, Carjacked
DETROIT (WWJ) - Authorities say a man who thought he was visiting a relative's home on Detroit's east side was robbed by suspects who also took his car after he apparently went to the wrong house.
The incident happened around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 16000 block of Fairmount, not far from 8 Mile Road and Redmond Street.
The 46-year-old victim told police he thought the location he went to was his relative's home. But after knocking on the door, the man was pulled inside of the location and robbed, according to police.
The suspects then took the man's keys and escaped in his black 2009 Mercury Milan.
The man was not injured.
Police are now searching for the suspects and the victim's vehicle. The first suspect is described as a black male with a dark complexion, 20- to 25-years-old, 5'8" to 5'1" tall and about 170 pounds. The second suspect is described as a black male, 20- to 25-years-old, 5'11" to 6'1" tall and 200 pounds; he was also armed.
