Man Wearing Halloween Mask Robs Three Gas Stations In Western Michigan

BENTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) — Authorities in southwestern Michigan say a man wearing a Halloween monster mask and carrying a handgun held up three gas stations in Berrien County.

The sheriff's department released a surveillance camera image of the suspect in Monday's stickups and is asking for help from the public in identifying him.

The department says the man first robbed a gas station in Benton Township about 12:40 a.m. and got away with an undisclosed amount of money. It says he didn't receive any money in a stickup at a gas station in St. Joseph Township about 6 a.m.

The department says the robber robbed a third station in Royalton Township about 6:20 a.m., getting an undisclosed amount of money.

Investigators say they believe the man is white and about 5-feet-6 inches tall.

The Berrien County sheriff's department asks that anyone with information about the possible identity of the armed robber call investigators at 269-983-7141.
