Man Wanted In Westland Family Dollar Robbery [PHOTOS]

WESTLAND (WWJ) - Police are looking for tips to identify a man who robbed a dollar store in Westland.

Police said on Nov. 27, the suspect walked into the Family Dollar at 1963 Wayne Road and passed a note demanding money to the cashier — implying that he had a weapon.

The cashier complied, handing over around $200. The robber then fled the scene. No one was injured.

The suspect is described as a black male in his 40s, around 5'8'' to 5'10" and 180 pounds with a mustache.  He was wearing a black coat, tan pants and a white hat.

Police released photos of the suspect on Monday.
