Man To Face Trial In Death Of Woman Buried Near Barn

MUSKEGON, Mich. (AP) - Police say a man charged with murder in the death of a woman whose body was buried under a horse corral admitted a role in a handwritten note.

After hearing testimony Wednesday, a judge in Muskegon County said there's enough evidence to send Ronald Williams to trial.
Bobbie Maples of the Muskegon area disappeared in December 2014, days after giving birth. Her body was found 13 months later near a barn in Fruitland Township.

Williams is in prison for a drug-related conviction. The Muskegon Chronicle says a police officer testified that Williams wrote a note in prison implicating himself in Maples' death.

In April, Roosevelt Park police Chief David Boone said Williams told investigators that he "administered" drugs to Maples and was present when she died.
