FARMINGTON HILLS (WWJ) - He's accused of swiping cash... from a local church!

Farmington Hills Police say an unidentified man walked into the Monastery of the Blessed Sacrament on Middlebelt Road, north of 13 Mile, early Monday afternoon and took off with a donation box. It's not clear how much money was inside. Police, however, think the man may be responsible for similar, recent crimes in neighboring communities.

Police are now asking for the public's help in identifying the suspect, who's described as a male in his 30s with a medium build and a short, neatly-trimmed beard. He was last seen wearing a short black jacket, blue jeans and a blue LA Dodgers baseball cap. He's also believed to have been driving a white or silver Chevrolet Malibu.

Anyone with information about the suspect should contact the Farmington Hills Police Department at 248-871-2610.
