Man Stabbed With Screwdriver 12 Times After Finding Suspects Inside His Jeep

OAKLAND TWP. (WWJ) - Police are searching for four suspects involved in a screwdriver stabbing attack in northern Oakland County.

The incident happened around 4:30 a.m. Tuesday at a home on Lyndon Circle, inside the Woodland Estates mobile home park in Oakland Township.

According to police, a 58-year-old man was leaving his home for work when he found two women and two men inside his Jeep. A verbal confrontation turned into a physical struggle, during which one of the suspects stabbed the man 12 times in the stomach and back with a screwdriver.

The suspects then fled the scene in a gray Pontiac Grand Am or Grand Prix. Police responded to the neighborhood and searched the area but were unable to locate the suspects.

The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. His current condition is unknown, although police say he is expected to recover.

Police are still searching for the suspects, described as one white male, one black male, one white female and one black female -- all in their early 20s.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Oakland County Sheriff's tip line at 1-888-TURN-1-IN.
