Man Shot To Death At West Side Detroit Gas Station

DETROIT (WWJ) - Police are investigating a deadly shooting at a gas station on Detroit's west side.

The shooting took place around 11 p.m. Monday at the BP gas station on Schoolcraft at Outer Drive.

Police say a 23-year-old man was involved in a shootout with another gunman. He was shot in the chest and died at the scene. The other gunman fled the area before police arrived.

Investigators say they're not yet sure what led to the shooting.

Information on a possible suspect was not immediately released.
