Man Shot In Inkster Gas Station Parking Lot During Armed Robbery

INKSTER (WWJ) -- Police are investigating an armed robbery that left one victim shot in Inkster on Friday.

Two suspects entered the Marathon gas station at Avondale and Inkster Rd. on Friday around 4:45 p.m. The two men followed the victim out into the parking lot when one of the males showed a semi-automatic pistol and attempted to rob the victim.

The victim attempted to run from the men and was shot once in the leg. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The two suspects fled the scene.

The suspects are described as two black males, approximately 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-9 and approximately 20 years old. One of the suspects was wearing a jersey-style jacket with brown sleeves and wears his hair in a ponytail. The second male was wearing a black hoodie.

It is believed that the suspects live in the neighborhood.
