Man Riding Mountain Bike Killed In Hit-And-Run Crash In Ferndale

FERNDALE (WWJ) -- Ferndale police are looking for a driver involved in a deadly hit-and-run accident.
Investigators say 48-year-old Michael Proxmire of Madison Heights was found along 10 Mile Road near Huron Avenue late Friday night after he was hit by a vehicle while riding a mountain bike.
A passerby noticed Proxmire laying in the roadway and called 911. He was taken to Beaumont Hospital where he died.
The driver involved did not stop. Authorities do not have a description of the vehicle or vehicles involved in the incident.
Police are asking anyone who may have seen something between 10:30 p.m. and midnight to call them at 248-541-3650.
