Man Killed By Falling Pallet Of Ceramic Tiles At Home Improvement Store

CHESTERFIELD TOWNSHIP (WWJ) -- A tragic accident took the life of a weekend shopper as man was killed after being hit on the head by a falling pallet of ceramic tiles on Saturday morning.

Richard Colletti, 38, was shopping with his wife at the Menard's in Chesterfield Township around 10:30 a.m. on Saturday morning when the pallet fell about 15 feet from an upper shelf, according to the Chesterfield Police Department.

Colletti was rushed to McLaren Macomb Hospital in Mount Clemens and later died from the injuries.

Police said that no further information will be available until Tuesday.
