Man injured in shooting on Detroit's west side, police say

Shooting investigation in Detroit's west side

One man was injured in a shooting early Monday in Detroit's west side, police said. 

The shooting was reported about 4:23 a.m. in the 15000 block of Greenfield Road, north of Grand River Avenue. Medics took the injured man to an area hospital, where he is getting treatment. 

Detroit police remained at the scene a couple of hours later for their investigation.
