REDFORD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WWJ/AP) - Authorities say a man injured in a suburban Detroit house explosion has died.

Redford Township police said 58-year-old William Rice died Tuesday as a result of injuries from the Sunday blast. Investigators say the explosion appeared to be caused by an oxygen and propane mix.

The blast left behind piles of smoldering debris where the house used to stand.
