Man In Critical Condition After Teen Allegedly Shoves Him At Hank Williams Concert

CLARKSTON (WWJ) -- A 55-year-old Westland man is clinging on to life after officials said he was pushed on Sunday night at the Hank Williams Jr. concert at DTE Energy Music Theatre.

Oakland County Sheriff Mike Bouchard said that a 15-year-old from Wayne shoved the victim, who then hit his head on the concrete.

"Preliminary information said that kind of a shoving altercation was occurring between the teenager and the victim," Bouchard said. "Early information is that it actually precipitated by the victim."

Bouchard said it appears the teen and the victim were part of the same group.

"After the shove by the teenager, the adult male went down, struck his head on the concrete and is in very, very difficult straits."

Bouchard said it appears the teen and the victim were part of the same group. The boy is being held as the prosecutor's office reviews the incident.
