Man In Critical Condition After Head-On Collision In Warren

WARREN (WWJ) -- One man is in critical condition and two other women are injured after a crash that has closed eastbound 14 Mile Road between Mound and Van Dyke in Warren on Friday afternoon.

Warren Police Lt. Courtland Larry told WWJ Newsradio 950 that a 60-year-old man was pulling out of a bowling supply store when he crashed into a car carrying two women from St. Clair Shores.

"It was a head-on collision," Larry said. "According to witnesses, it looked like the Madison Heights driver may have had a medical condition prior to the accident."

The male driver is in critical condition at an area hospital, while the two women who were in the other vehicle suffered only minor injuries.

Police are asking drivers to avoid the area until about 7 p.m.
