Man Gets At Least 31 Years In Prison For Woman's Death

MIDLAND, Mich. (AP) - An ex-convict who pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and other charges in the death of a woman found after a Michigan house fire is getting more than 30 years in prison.

Gregory Rose was sentenced Thursday to between 31 and 70 years in prison. Midland County Circuit Judge Stephen Carras said to the 47-year-old, "You can never again be out," reports The Midland Daily News.

Gregory Rose was arrested in November in Carlton County, Minnesota, after a high-speed chase. He was traveling in a vehicle stolen from the Army Corps of Engineers. He was returned to Michigan and charged with home invasion and other crimes before being charged with murder.

Sixty-seven-year-old Connie Eileen Pajunen of Shepherd was found dead with stab wounds Nov. 13 in Midland County's Greendale Township.
