Man With Gunshot Wound To The Head Found Inside Car On Detroit's East Side

DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit police are hoping the public can help them solve the case of a man who died after being shot in the head while inside his car on the city's far east side.

Sgt. Michael Woody told WWJ Newsradio 950 they received a call Saturday morning from a motorist who was driving eastbound down Morross Road near Wayburn Street when they saw another driver "fall out of a vehicle."

Police responded to the scene and found a man with a gunshot wound to head partially hanging out of his vehicle. The man, who was not identified, was rushed to Henry Ford Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Woody said other circumstances surrounding the incident remains unclear and they don't have any suspects. Investigators are hoping someone might have witnessed the incident or something suspicious in the area.

Anyone with information is urged to contact police at 313-267-4600 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
