Man Found Dead In Water At Ann Arbor Park

ANN ARBOR (WWJ) - The body of a man was found in the water at an Ann Arbor park.

Police said they got a call Monday afternoon from a passerby who reported seeing a man floating face down in the river at Gallup Park.

It's unclear at this time how the man died.  Police are investigating, but say foul play is not suspected at this time. A section of the area near the canoe livery was closed off.

MLive reported multiple police agencies were at the scene, including Ann Arbor Police, Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office and Michigan State Police.

The man's name has not yet been released.

Located along the Huron River and Geddes Pond, the 69-acre Gallup Park is billed as "Ann Arbor's most popular recreation area."
