Man Fatally Shot Outside Liquor Store On Detroit's West Side

DETROIT (WWJ) - Police in Detroit are searching for a killer after a 41-year-old man was fatally shot outside of a liquor store on the city's west side.

The incident happened Thursday evening on Fenkell Avenue just east of the Southfield Freeway.

According to reports, the victim and the suspect exchanged words and were involved in an altercation before the suspect pulled out a gun and fired.

The man was taken to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries.

The suspect, along with another man, fled the scene immediately after the shooting.
