Man Charged With Videotaping Men In Wayne State University Bathroom

DETROIT (WWJ) - A 31-year-old man is facing multiple charges after he was allegedly caught recording video of men using a public restroom at Wayne State University last September.

According to officials with the WSU Police Department, someone was using the facilities at State Hall when he noticed what looked like a "recording device" in a backpack on the floor.

He called police who found the accused, Frederick Delorean Walker, still in the bathroom. Police said they checked his backpack and the video recorder was there.

Police responded to the scene and Walker was arrested.

He was scheduled to be arraigned Monday on four counts of distributing an image of an unclothed person, as well as using a computer to commit a crime and eavesdropping, according to the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office.

Walker is an ex-Wayne State University Student, the Free Press reports.
