Man Charged With Arson After Fire Guts Michigan Fireworks Store

WYOMING, Mich. (AP) - A man who authorities say started a fire that gutted a western Michigan fireworks store has been charged with arson.

The Grand Rapids Press reports 34-year-old Casey George Marvin was arrested following Tuesday's blaze at GS Fireworks in Wyoming, near Grand Rapids. He also faces charges including carjacking and home invasion.

He's held on $1 million bond. The court couldn't say Friday morning whether he had a lawyer.

A witness told police he saw Marvin leave the fireworks store and send a lit firework into the building. They say he set fire to a bag of stuffed animals at a nearby apartment and stole an SUV.

Investigators say he then broke into a home, showered and stole another car. He was caught driving the wrong way down a street.
