Man Charged As Accessory In Murder Of Mother; Children Still Missing

DETROIT (WWJ) -- Two Detroit children were reported missing Monday after their mother, Alicia Fox, was found dead in an abandoned house on Detroit's west side.

Fox's husband Erin Justice was charged with murder while he's in Georgia fighting extradition. A second Detroit man, Timothy Jones -- believed to be involved after the crime -- was in court Friday afternoon.

Wayne County prosecutors believe that Jones allegedly assisted Justice with Fox's alleged murder in some way. Fox's body had been found shot multiple times.

Jones, 27, was arraigned by video on an "accessory after the fact" charge at the 36th District Court, which was followed by a "not guilty" plea on his behalf. Jones' attorney Michaell Crews told the judge that her client has no criminal past.

"He works for a painting contractor," Crews said. " He has no violent history -- he has been cooperative in this matter."

The felony charge carries a five-year penalty. Crews asked for a $5,000 bond.

"He has strong family support," Crews said. "It's just alleged that Jones was called to a place and found himself in a bad situation, that's why I asked for the nominal bonds."

The judge set the bond at $50,000.

The Detroit Police Department is seeking the community's assistance in the investigation of the whereabouts of Fox's tow children -- Kaylah Hunter and Kristian Justice months.

Investigators are asking anyone that has come into contact with or seen either suspect, Erin Justice or Timothy Jones from May 24 to June 94 to please come forward and notify police at (313) 596-1616. Police said that the suspects may have been in possession of a U-HAUL truck.
