Man Charged After Children Found With Skull Fractures

FLINT, Mich. (AP) - A 27-year-old Flint man has been charged with two counts of assault with intent to murder and child abuse after doctors at an area hospital discovered that two of his girlfriend's children had skull fractures and other injuries.

The Genesee County prosecutor's office says in a release that Cameron Wells was charged Wednesday and is expected to be arraigned Thursday.

Police say a 1-year-old was injured Sunday and found to have a skull fracture with brain issues, broken teeth and multiple bruises on his body after being rushed to the hospital by paramedics.

A 2-year-old was taken to the hospital for evaluation and found to have a head injury and skull fracture. Both children were listed in critical condition.

It was not clear Wednesday night if Wells has an attorney.
