Man Arrested After Allegedly Threatening To Kill Judge Presiding In Custody Case

PONTIAC (WWJ) - An Oakland County man has been arrested for threatening to blow up a court and assassinate a judge.

Twenty-four-year old Anthony Brodie was taken into custody at his job in Ann Arbor Wednesday. Brodie allegedly told a friend he would blow up the 6th Circuit Court at Telegraph Road in Pontiac and kill Judge Lisa Gorcyca who is presiding over the custody case involving his son.

Brodie also allegedly indicated he was ready and willing to "go to war" and that he had been researching Timothy McVeigh's actions in the Oklahoma City bombing and how he had accomplished the bombing.

Brodie will be video arraigned on September 29 in the 50th District Court in Pontiac - on charges of making a false threat of terrorism.
