Man, 36, Dies After ATV Crashes Into Ravine

IONIA, Mich. (AP) — The operator of an all-terrain vehicle has been killed after crashing into a ravine in Ionia County.

Sheriff's officials tell MLive.com for a story Saturday that the 36-year-old man and the vehicle went over the edge of an incline around midnight in wooded area near Ionia, northwest of Lansing.

Witnesses say the Saranac resident was driving up a steep hill when the vehicle struck a fallen tree branch near the top of the incline.

The crash is under investigation.
