Macomb Township Man Charged In Stabbing Death Of Roommate

MACOMB TOWNSHIP (WWJ) - A Macomb Township man has been ordered held without bond, charged with murder in the death of his roommate.

Macomb County Sheriff's officials say 26-year-old Jerald Wayne Boozer-Brown, Jr., was arrested after 21-year-old Brian Shepard was stabbed early Sunday morning.

Investigators said the two were "engaged in a physical fight" before the stabbing at the Northport apartment complex. Shepard was taken to Henry Ford Macomb Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Boozer-Brown was arraigned Tuesday via video in the 41A District Court of Shelby Township on charges of second degree murder and interfering with a crime report.

He remains lodged at the Macomb County Jail pending a hearing set for Monday, Feb. 29.

Authorities are not saying what Boozer-Brown and Shepard were fighting about.
