M-1 Project Causes Portion Of I-75 To Close For Woodward Ave. Bridge Construction
DETROIT (WWJ) -- Construction on the M-1 Railway continues to cause slowdowns and delays for downtown Detroit drivers which are continuing into the weekend.
I-75 between M-10 and I-375 is closed for the weekend as a part of the project which will see a streetcar run 3.3 miles along Woodward from Congress to W. Grand Boulevard.
Crews are demolishing half of the Woodward Ave. overpass which stretches over I-75. The freeway is scheduled to reopen at 5 a.m. om Monday morning, with the southbound portion of the overpass completely done.
Detour include north I-75 to west I-96 to east I-94 back to north I-75; or south I-75 to west I-94 to east I-96 back to south I-75.
North and south I-75 ramps to Grand River Avenue, north ramp to M-3 Gratiot and north I-75 to and from Mack Avenue to I-94 will also have multiple lane closures.
