Luxury Hybrid Automaker 'Karma' Bringing New Jobs To Troy

DETROIT (WWJ) - The Michigan Economic Development Corporation announced Wednesday afternoon that Karma Automotive, which makes luxury hybrid vehicles, will be setting up an engineering and purchasing building in Troy.

The $3.6 million project is expected to create up to 150 jobs.
Karma Automotive will showcase its first vehicle called the Karma Revero later this year.

The Troy jobs will support production of that vehicle. The company will receive a $450,000 business development grant from the state and other assistance from the city.
