Louisville Has Interest In Pat Narduzzi, Bobby Petrino For Coach

Louisville has shown interest in Michigan State defensive coordinator Pat Narduzzi to replace Charlie Strong as head coach, according to a source with direct knowledge of the situation.

The Cardinals have reached out to the appropriate parties to inquire about this year's Broyles Award winner. No coordinator had a better year than Narduzzi, whose spirited defense led the Spartans' charge through the Rose Bowl for a 13-1 season.

Narduzzi interviewed for the UConn job last month.

Louisville is believed to have five finalists, including holdover offensive coordinator Shawn Watson and defensive coordinator Vance Bedford from the staff of Strong, who is now at Texas.
