The new social media fad is asking your favorite athlete to prom via Twitter.

Earlier this month, former Michigan Wolverine Nik Stauskas was asked if he would have a problem if someone took his girlfriend to prom.

Now it's time for the ladies. With only the small price of retweets, a young lass can possibly bring a sports star to her prom.

West Bloomfield High School senior Raquel Smith is on the verge of taking Detroit Pistons center Andre Drummond to her prom.

All she needs is 12,000 retweets.

As of now, she has nearly 6,000 retweets and she just posted the tweet six days ago.

I imagine she won't have any problem reaching the 12,000.

What's the over/under on whether he'll actually go with her?
