Local Car Dealer Martin 'Hoot' McInerney Dies At Age 86

BLOOMFIELD HILLS (WWJ) -- A well-known and long time car dealer Martin "Hoot" McInerney died in his home at the age of 86 on Monday.

Among his many dealerships in Metro Detroit were Northland Chrysler in Oak Park, McInerney Cadillac and McInerney Toyota in Mt. Clemens and Star Lincoln Mercury in Southfield.

McInerney is survived by his wife and five children. A funeral is scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday morning at St. Hugo of the Hills in Bloomfield Hills.
