Livonia Man Killed In 3-Wheeled Slingshot Motorcycle Crash

LIVONIA (WWJ) - Police say 64-year-old man was killed over the weekend when he crashed his three-wheeled motorcycle into a car on Farmington Road.

The victim — identified by authorities Monday as Kord Allison Kostich of Livonia — was traveling westbound on northbound Farmington, near Rayburn, Saturday afternoon when police say he lost control of his 2015 Polaris Slingshot.

Livonia police say, at around 3:40 p.m., Kostich's vehicle veered oncoming traffic into the southbound lanes of Farmington where he was struck by a Chevy Cruz.

Kostich was rushed to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The driver of the Cruze, a 54-year-old Livonia man, sustained only minor injuries.

Police say alcohol does not appear to have been a factor in the incident.

An investigation is ongoing.
