Lions Waive-Injured WR Ryan Spadola And Sign WR Damian Copeland

Allen Park, Mich. – The Detroit Lions announced Tuesday that they have waived-injured WR Ryan Spadola and re-signed WR Damian Copeland. Contract terms were not disclosed.

Copeland rejoins the Lions after originally signing with the team earlier this offseason. He spent the previous two seasons (2014-15) with the Jacksonville Jaguars, where he missed both seasons on Reserve/Injured.

An undrafted rookie free agent with the Jaguars in 2014, Copeland played his college football at Louisville (2009-13). As a senior in 2013, he caught 52 receptions for 690 yards and five touchdowns.
