Lions Sign Wide Receiver Greg Salas, Cornerback Chris Owens

CBS DETROIT - The Detroit Lions announced Wednesday they have signed wide receiver Greg Salas and cornerback Chris Owens.

Salas played 10 games for the New York Jets last season and had eight catches for 167 yards. Salas played in eight games for the Jets the previous season. He was a fourth-round pick by the St. Louis Rams in 2011.

Owens, who is entering his seventh NFL season, spent last year with the Kansas City Chiefs. He played in 11 games and logged 33 tackles. He also defended four passes. Owens played the first four seasons of his career with the Atlanta Falcons, who drafted him in the third round in 2009.
