Lions Sign TE Khari Lee To Practice Squad, Release CB D'Joun Smith From Practice Squad

The Detroit Lions announced today that they have signed TE Khari Lee to the team's practice squad and released CB D'Joun Smith from the practice squad.

Lee (6-4, 253) returns to Detroit after originally joining the team via waivers from Chicago in September. He played in eight games for the Lions before being released on November 8.

Lee played in all 16 games (seven starts) for the Bears in 2015 after being traded to Chicago from Houston at the beginning of the season. He entered the NFL as an undrafted rookie free agent with the Texans last season out of Bowie State (Md.).
