CBS DETROIT - The Detroit Lions made several personnel moves Monday before leaving for London. The Lions signed tight end Kellen Davis to give them some depth at the position, which has been ravaged by injuries. The Lions also released safety Jerome Couplin and added wide receiver Ifeanyi Momah to their practice squad.

Davis, who played his college ball at Michigan State, is a seven-year veteran who played for the Seattle Seahawks last season after spending the first five years of his career with the Chicago Bears.

Prior to adding Davis, the Lions had four tight ends on their roster - Brandon Pettigrew, Joe Fauria, Eric Ebron, Jordan Thompson - but Fauria and Ebron are both out with injuries. Pettigrew played much of Sunday's game against the New Orleans Saints despite an injury that had him limping.

Momah, who is listed at 6-foot-7, caught 39 passes for 629 yards in four years at Boston College.

Couplin had been picked up by the Lions as an undrafted rookie free agent. He had played in all seven of Detroit's games this season.
