Lions Sign DT Kerry Hyder Off Practice Squad To Replace Swanson

ALLEN PARK (AP) — The Detroit Lions have signed defensive tackle Kerry Hyder off the practice squad for the team's final game Sunday at Chicago.

Detroit announced the move Saturday. The Lions put center Travis Swanson on injured reserve.

Detroit had already ruled Swanson out for Sunday's game because of a shoulder injury. Swanson started 14 games this season.

Hyder played at Texas Tech from 2010-13 but has yet to appear in an NFL game.
