CBS DETROIT - The Detroit Lions have signed defensive end Corey Wootton to a one-year deal, Wootton's agent announced Thursday morning on Twitter.

The Lions will be the third NFC North team for which Wootton has played. He played for the Minnesota Vikings last season, and he spent his first four seasons with the Chicago Bears, who drafted him in the fourth round in 2010.

Wootton played in 15 games for the Vikings last season and totaled 16 tackles. He also recorded a sack.
