Lions, Ford Motor Team Up For Anti-Hunger Effort

DETROIT (AP) — The Detroit Lions and Ford Motor Co. are teaming up to fight hunger in the city.

The football team and automaker are trying to bring awareness to the Meet Up & Eat Up program.

Children who regularly eat free or reduced-price school meals and need access to food in the summer months are encouraged to visit Meet Up & Eat Up sites.

Lions players, alumni and team mascot Roary will be at a number of the sites over the coming weeks.
