Large, Bearded Man Dressed As Woman Wanted In Walgreens Armed Robbery [VIDEO]
DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit police are looking for a large, bearded man who robbed a Walgreens store while dressed as a woman.
The suspect donned a purple dress and a long, curly wig the morning of on Monday, May 18, before he went to the pharmacy — in the 20000 block of W. 7 Mile Road in Detroit — and held the clerk at gunpoint.
Police said the man took an undisclosed amount of money and fled the scene on foot.
He's described as a black male, around 30-40 years old, approximately 6 feet tall and 250-280 lbs., with a full beard and mustache and a dark complexion. He was wearing a black curly-haired wig, a purple dress and white shoes, and carrying a brown purse and a cane along with his gun.
It's unclear whether the feminine attire was intended to be a disguise, or if this is how the suspect typically dresses. Police released security photos and video of the robbery.
