Vehicle fire caused temporary lane closures on I-75 near 9 Mile Road in Oakland County

(CBS DETROIT) - A vehicle fire caused temporary lane closures on southbound I-75 in Oakland County on Thursday afternoon, according to the Michigan Department of Transportation.

At about 2:12 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 20, MDOT said the southbound left center, right center and right lanes, along with the right shoulder were blocked on the freeway just after Nine Mile Road due to a vehicle being on fire.

In an update released at about 2:44 p.m., MDOT said the vehicle fire had been cleared.

No other information has been released at this time.
