Lakers To Honor 3 Men Who Helped Stop Attempted Train Attack Against Pistons

LOS ANGELES (AP) — The three men who helped stop an attempted terror attack on a train in Europe will be honored by the Los Angeles Lakers this weekend.

Spencer Stone, Alek Skarlatos and Anthony Sadler will be introduced in an on-court ceremony Sunday when the Lakers face Detroit. They also will meet with team president and co-owner Jeanie Buss.

Sadler was wearing a Lakers T-shirt when he and his two friends got involved in tackling a gunman with ties to radical Islam on a Paris-bound passenger train in August. Sadler's mother has said his favorite player is Kobe Bryant.
