Lake Orion Man Arraigned On Drug Charges In Connection With Illegal Grow Operation

DETROIT (WWJ) - A Lake Orion man has been arraigned on drug charges in connection with what police say was an illegal grow operation.

Police seized 130 pot plants from the home of William Davis last month.

Davis claims he was growing the dope for marijuana patients, but police say there was evidence of illegal drug use in his home.

Davis is also accused of failing to register the operation, and enclose the plants, as required by law.

If found guilty, Davis could get up to seven years in prison and a $500,000 fine.

Davis is scheduled for a preliminary exam on April 25.
