Kwame Kilpatrick's Twin Sons To Play Football At West Texas A&M
DETROIT (AP) — The twin sons of imprisoned former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick plan to play football at the same university in Texas.
The Detroit News and MLive.com report that wide receivers Jalil and Jelani Kilpatrick on Wednesday signed letters-of-intent to play for West Texas A&M. The team's offensive coordinator Stephen Lee says they're "solid guys with great families."
They played for Mansfield Timberview High in Arlington, Texas, where the Kilpatricks moved after their father resigned as mayor.

An attorney for Kwame Kilpatrick last month argued that his client should get a new trial. A federal jury in Detroit convicted him in 2013 on corruption charges including racketeering and tax evasion, and he was sentenced to 28 years in prison.
