Kid Rock Adds 2 Shows To DTE Summer Concert Series

DETROIT (WWJ) -  Tickets to the first six Kid Rock concerts this summer sold out in minutes this morning, but two more shows have been added to the tour.

DTE Energy Music Theatre executives say the new shows will be August 18 and 19.

Tickets for those concerts go on sale this Saturday at 10 a.m. and are part of the $20 First Kiss: Cheap Date tour. Foreigner will be the opening act.

Rock has been making the rounds promoting the "First Kiss" album release. Monday night he appeared on "The Tonight Show" sporting a T-shirt from Detroit's own American Coney Island.

Rock's 31-city tour is scheduled to kick off June 24 in Hartford, Conn.
