With its ice and sharp blades, hockey is a very dangerous sport -- there are no ifs, ands or buts about it.

During a KHL game, the dangerous sport got a little scary. Ladislav Nagy of Slovan took a shot, and as he took it he was spun around, his skate was lifted high and wound up cutting Ugra's Vitaly Sitnikov in the throat.

Luckily Sitnikov is fine.

According to YahooSports.com:

According to Yugra head coach Pavel Yezovskikh, Nagy's blade did not cut an artery and the damage to Sitnikov was minimal.

"Vitaly had the surgery and everything sewn up. Now everything is fine," he said, via the team website.
