Kalamazoo Man Faces 5th Drunk Driving Charge In 2 Years

KALAMAZOO (AP) - A 28-year-old Kalamazoo man faces his 5th drunk driving charge in two years.

The Van Buren County sheriff's office says that a deputy saw the man's vehicle stopped Friday evening in the middle of an intersection in Gobles, about 40 miles southwest of Grand Rapids. The deputy later determined the man to be intoxicated -- and found a 4-year-old girl in the car.

A breath test determined the driver was more than twice the legal limit. He is charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated, child endangerment and driving on a restricted license.
