Juwan Howard Jr. Hits Game-Winner; Detroit Titans Upsets Cleveland State, 66-65 [VIDEO]

DETROIT (AP) — Juwan Howard Jr. scored 23 points, including the game-winning 3-pointer with 4.5 seconds left, to give Detroit a 66-65 upset win over Cleveland State on Friday.

Cleveland State (15-11, 9-3 Horizon) fell one game back of first-place Valparaiso, which beat Green Bay (20-6, 9-3) earlier in the night. Detroit is 12-15, 5-7.

Howard's 3 from the wing was well beyond the arc. Charlie Lee went the length of the floor but his layup rimmed out at the buzzer.

Howard was 9-of-14 from the field, including three 3-pointers.

Trey Lewis was 8-of-13 shooting with four 3-pointers to finish with 23 points for Cleveland.

Lewis pump-faked, stepped up and made a 3-pointer from the top of the key to give Cleveland State its first lead of the game at 62-59 with 59 seconds left. Later, he hit 1 of 2 free throws with 14 seconds left for a 65-63 lead.
