DETROIT (CBS Detroit) - Craft brewery Jolly Pumpkin has set an April opening date for its new location in Midtown Detroit.

The brewery which offers oak-aged, wild and sour beers, and a restaurant featuring locally-sourced menu items, will open April 11.

"High quality fresh ingredients and focusing on very local products is always important to us," said Jon Carlson, co-founder and co-CEO, Northern United Brewing Co., in a release. "The menu we developed in Detroit was no different."

Jolly Pumpkin Pizzeria and Brewery is moving into a 5,000-square-foot space at 441 Canfield, near the Shinola store, which features an interior with exposed high ceilings, with picnic benches and booths for patrons. Walls of the Jolly Pumpkin are covered with pallet wood from a company near the Packard Plant along with paintings of the company's beer labels.

Diners will find a menu with gourmet pizzas, salads, sandwiches, burgers and desserts. A full bar will feature more than 30 taps with Jolly Pumpkin Artisan Ales and North Peak brand beers, both of which are brewed in Dexter, Mich. as part of Northern United Brewing Co.

Jolly Pumpkin has locations in Ann Arbor, Traverse City and Dexter, is part of Northern United Brewing Co., which also includes the Grizzly Peak and North Peak Beer Co. craft beer brands, as well as Civilized Spirits and Bonafide Wines.
